Logo sketches progress, inspiration

Our color scheme are inspired by the flower orchid, the color of purple and blue, it gives the feeling of calmness and healing.

Logo inspirations comes from sand art and with combination of flower look.

Sand art are very diverse, transforming into different shapes.

WEEK 5

Reflecting to our brand values : Empathy, Inspiration, Inclusivity

to create the visual concept for our brand  

Thinking of medium, we are deeply inspired by the 2000s, to blend nostalgic in today's digital driven world, household items that are usually found like CDs, DVD player, candle, newspaper.

so that we created a screensaver inspired by the classic DVD hitting the corner, using our logo.

Proposal Presentation 05/11/2025

Starting to research on the inner thoughts of people who are facing mental health issues.

After understanding deeper on mental health issues inner world, we had taken it as our inspiration on creating the music that can make people feel healed and finalising the music .

Starting on the visuals

Using blue as our main tone for posters. We took a lot of photographs and play on the filter and color adjustments.

REFLECTION

WEEK 01

Today’s class was to give us a brief on our project and it was explained very clearly and easy to understand, it gave us a very clear direction for our work. After understanding the brief, I was very excited to give my best for this project and look forward to the project outcome. While listening to the presentation of the brief, I had ideas going inside my head and I hope that I will not let myself down.

WEEK 02

We are given 4 weeks to develop ideas. On week 2, I am still quite hesitate on choosing a topic, as I had many ideas going on that I am interested on. So, I decided to have more research before confirming my ideas.

WEEK 03

After 2 weeks of ideation, I've decided to work in a group because we both have similar ideas and same direction. After presenting all of our research, the lecturer gave feedback and suggestions that are very useful for our work. Ms Anis also gave the pros and cons of the project we are planning to work on, so that we have a clear direction and we know what challenges we are going to face.

WEEK 04

We did some changes to our research and met with Ms Anis online for tutorial session with the feedback given. After today's tutorial, we understand more on our concept development and our logo development.

WEEK 05

We continue working on the project development and prepare Gantt chart to ensure our project flow are smooth to deliver on time. Because we needed a lot of photographs, I had improved my photography skills and learned a lot of photography knowledge, including editing the photos.

WEEK 06

Preparing for our first proposal presentation, we had a lot of research work going on, learning more about mental health. Deciding on our merchandise and graphics.

WEEK 07

We had our proposal presentation and received very useful feedback from the lecturer. About the challenges we face and helping us on suggestions. It was very useful to us for carry on with our works.

WEEK 08

Continue on our project, editing all the photos for photobook. We had to search for suppliers for our merchandise to ensure we have enough time for customisation printing. We spent more time than we expected because most of the suppliers had minimum order quantity. We had to search for supplier than accept small order amount.

WEEK 09

We started to create all the design and merchandise and expected to be done by Week 11 so that we have enough time for printing. I did most of my research on Pinterest, it gives me a lot of inspiration and generating ideas.

WEEK 10

Continue designing for our project. I had a tutorial with Ms Anis about the poster layout, and it was useful for me to make changes on the poster.

WEEK 11

Continue designing for our project, at first it was quite hard to actually get the vibe that really suits the brand. We did a few rounds of design attempts on the style. After a few tries I started to get the idea and what I need to achieve is the consistency.

WEEK 12

It is quite challenging to work as a group as we both have different opinion and ideas on the outcome, but we respect each other's suggestion and take it into our design. We had all the merchandise done designing, and it was time to print out everything, it took about 2 weeks to get everything done.

WEEK 13

We re printed some of the merchandise as the first print didn't came out at our expectations. The materials does effect the outcome of the design, so it is very important to choose a suitable material.

WEEK 14

We had our final presentation with 3 lecturers, and we really appreciate the feedback and suggestion that they gave us, although our outcome results are not perfect, we learned a lot during the process, from ideation to development, contacting suppliers to printing quality.

Exhibition

We had 2 day exhibition at Lalaport. It was very fun and I truly appreciate this opportunity! This is the only chance I get to design on the things I like, including decorating the exhibition booth. Overall I am quite happy on my work and I've learned a lot during the process, I believe it will help me grow and improve myself, in the future.
