REFLECTION
Writings essays was always my weakness, and to research and write dissertation quite a challenge for me. But with the guidance from Dr Jinchi, I had improved a lot since the previous module of Design Methodology. The process was not easy, to complete a research dissertation, we had gone through several tutorials and feedback, refinements to finally make it to the final task. Dr Jinchi gave very clear feedbacks and guide me through all the mistakes I've made, to make sure I do my best for all the tasks.
In the beginning, we were asked to prepare matrix table before we even start constructing the research, I think it is very important steps for me to really understand and study the research I've done through the survey conducted, and to understand the respondent's answers. After few classes of tutorial for my dissertation draft, I had manage to write a clear information of my research, then making an E-Book. We had to design a book layout that is suitable for our dissertation, I've prepared 2 different design styles to pick, which is the most suitable layout and design. I also tried out the design style to see the outcome, the final chosen was using photography that represents Malaysian culture and titbits. Although the first submission of my dissertation there's some mistakes, but Dr Jinchi gave me the chance to do some refinement with my contents.
To be honest, this module is quite challenging, but I enjoyed the process of it, which makes me learn from my mistakes and gained a lot of useful knowledges. My Turnitin report was 17% for the first submission, which exceeded the limit of 15%. Because we only had 1 chance to check the similarity, so it is quite a lost for me. After refinement my similarity drop down to 12%, which is considered quite high but I am ok with that.
I would really like to give credit to Dr Jinchi for giving me the most detailed feedback and the patient she gave to guide me though this module. Overall, this module had gave me the opportunity to improve my writing and let me gain knowledge of constructing research dissertation.
