REFLECTION

EXPERIENCE
For me it is a quite challenging module, bringing forward the knowledge from Typography class, it is always my weakness. It is very obvious seeing through my work progress, I struggle a lot especially designing the layout for book design. But I am very grateful for the patience Mr Vinod gave to guide me even using the tools in Indesign. After few classes I can see my improvements, recall back to the knowledge from Typography class bring bring forward in this module. Although there might be some struggle on the task, I do enjoy it because I get to learn new stuff and tools I have never tried. Also the freedom to create a story and visuals.

OBSERVATION
I didn't expect that a publishing design requires some much knowledge especially the layouts using grid system, it is so important that we need it in all of our designs. I have learned a lot on grid system and observe that it really makes a design layout to look better. While finding references from Behance and Pinterest, looking how other designers create the layouts and use of space gives me a better and clear understanding on publishing.

FINDINGS
I have learned a lot of layout knowledge, and the ways of creating a book. This module has let me gain a lot of useful knowledge that I feel it is important for my future use. I had also learned new tools in Indesign which is the Interactive buttons, watching youtube tutorials learning from the basics.
